Concert Tour Has Reached Nearly a Half-Million People; Ad Campaign

BENTON HARBOR, Mich., Aug. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Whirlpool Corporation is feeling the positive impact of its Reba McEntire summer concert tour sponsorship that is helping raise awareness of Habitat for Humanity. The tour has now played 21 shows in 20 different cities -- entertaining more than 500,000 fans and encouraging people to get involved with Habitat. In addition, Advertising Age Magazine has ranked the Whirlpool/Habitat TV ad starring Reba No. 7 on its "Most Likable" scale, which is based upon an index of viewer rankings on likeable and memorable ads for associated brands or products. Whirlpool donates an Energy Star rated refrigerator and range to every Habitat home in the U.S. and thousands of Whirlpool employees donate their time and skills every year to local Habitat builds in their communities.

The TV ads have been running on major network and cable programs since Memorial Day and every Reba concert opens with the commercial being played on the jumbo screens for her audience. The print ads are running in Ladies Home Journal, Parents Magazine and Oprah.
